A family row took centre stage in Brighton this afternoon as Jeremy Corbyn was jeered by his sibling. The former Labour leader was speaking at an event with Momentum’s The World Transformed when Piers started to disrupt the panel discussion on climate change.
Piers Corbyn and another man stood up to try and ask a question but the moderator asked for contributions from women and people of colour only, sparking the disagreement.
Piers is a notorious denier of global warming, who has long held the view that climate change is natural.
Ahead of the debate, taking place at a Momentum festival running alongside the Labour Party annual conference, the conspiracy theorist was handing out leaflets titled “Man-made climate change does not exist”.
The elder brother has previously described discussions around global warming as “nonsense”.

She added: “Alright, so we need to carry on comrades because we have a massive task ahead of us.”
Piers was allowed to remain at the event after he eventually sat back down.
His brother watched on quietly throughout the dispute.
Jeremy was taking part in the event alongside fellow Labour left MPs Zara Sultana and Clive Lewis.
The World Transformed conference is not officially affiliated with the Labour Party but is being held in the same city alongside the debate.
Writing on social media after the event, Jeremy Corbyn said: “The climate emergency is here and now.
“People around the world are already hurting, even dying from ‘natural’ disasters, forced displacement, food shortages and more,
“We must organise for the global day of action for climate justice on November 6.”
